Sharing Action Research Projects

As soon as I discover a way to cut and paste or to upload a word document, I will share with you some "hot" action research topics identified from some sections of EDLD 5301. These are terrific topics, and Dr. Abernathy has agreed to collect blog URLs on sorted topics, so our action researchers can follow the action research planning, design, and implementation. So stay tuned for details!

  1. I copy and paste my blogs from word. All you do is check the box that says something about a script error and all will be well. Good Luck!

  3. Hi Dr. Jenkins. For copy and pasting from a word document, make sure you have the blog and the word document pulled up in separate windows on your screen, highlight the text you want to copy, press the control and "c" keys, and then put the cursor in the blog posting box and press the control and "v" keys, and voila! I hope this helps! Belinda "Simone" Hundley

  5. In MS Word 2007, under the Add-Ins tab there is actually a "post to blog" button that you can use to enter a word document as a blog post.

  8. As I was reading the Week 2 Overview, I noticed you discussed monitoring our blogs over the course of the entire degree (18 mos). It would seem to me that it would make things easier for you all to use an RSS reader. Take the blogs assigned to that particular individual, then suscribe to it. This way, the updates come to you as they are posted.

  9. I have finally found a way to create a class newsletter at the departmentalized middle school level - blogging! Thank you for this assignment, Dr. Jenkins. Not only will this be helpful for collaboration with my peers, but in conjunction with my Google group and Twitter account for my class, my parents will be very well informed!

  10. I am glad to know I am not the only one who is expriencing "blogging" for the first time! I can see this as a wonderful learning tool, for me and for students. AS we discussed in the ILD training in Mt. Pleasant, technology has changed the world of education and educators not willing to jump on this wagon are going to be eating alot of dust! Thanks for the opportunity to be connected and stay connected with others who have a driving passion for life-long learning!

  11. Possibilities are endless with this wonderful tool: blogging. I feel very lucky be able to share and participate in this new world to me. I love the suggestions and comments that empower me to learn and practice all these technology tools. The guide from professors and instructional assistants is awesome! Thanks Dr. Jenkins for sharing your experience!

  12. I discovered recently that I can no longer paste into my blog when I'm using Internet Explorer. Google Chrome is the only browser that allows me to paste text from a Word document into my blog. Has anyone else had this experience? What browsers work for any of you?

  13. I like the blog idea. My only concern is that our School District blocks ALL blogs and chat rooms, therefore I will only be able to work on mine and check the ones I am following, at home.
